The article contains a review of the literature devoted to the study of microRNA in the genesis of some obstetric complications. Data on the structure, function, biogenesis of microRNA are given. The advantages of microRNA are considered as a non-invasive biomarker of obstetric complications. MicroRNA specific for human placenta are described.
Key words: microRNA, biomarker of obstetric complications.
