The article presents the evaluation of arthroscopic meniscal suture results using «all-inside» and «outside-in» techniques in 25 patients with a follow-up of 3 years. In 14 patients who had «outside-in» technique the failures occurred in 3 patients. When «all- inside» meniscus repair technique has been used, the successful results occurred in 10 of 11 operated patients. The results depend of the time from injury to surgery, the patient’s age, location and type of meniscus tear. The «all-inside» technique using the anchors is useful for posterior horn lesions of meniscus. The «outside-in» technique may be performed to the lesions of anterior horn and medium part of the meniscus. Arthroscopic repair of meniscus can be done for all possible cases, because preservation of meniscus is the prevention of the development of gonarthrosis.
Key words: meniscal suture, arthroscopy of the knee joint.
