The article tells about the experience of diagnosis and treatment of 43 patients with a diagnosis of hemangioma treated with the drug propranolol in 2012-2013. The efficiency and safety of treatment of hemangiomas in children using propranolol therapy is estimated. Improvement was achieved in all patients. Propranolol therapy has shown to be an effective non-surgical method of treatment of hemangiomas . Hemodynamic changes and the potential risk of abnormal bradycardia require careful monitoring of patients by cardiologist with control of ECG and echocardioscopy during the whole period of treatment with propranolol.
Key words: children, hemangioma, treatment, propranolol.
