Practicing physician often faces difficulties in differential diagnosis of diseases relating to the interface between rheumatology and gastroenterology, which is associated with the similarity of pathogenetic mechanisms of autoimmune pathology. This article is devoted to the features of the lesion of the mucous membranes of the oral cavity and the gastrointestinal tract in Behcet’s disease, in contrast to ulcerative colitis.
