Objective ― to analyze the clinical features and optimal tactics in adults with popular urticaria after stinging of flying insects.

Material and methods. We analyzed clinical features of popular urticaria in 19 adults after stinging of flying insects, including cases with secondary infectiuos complications who were treated with standard therapy and with early use of topical combined corticosteroids.

Results. It is shown that standard therapy of popular urticaria after stinging of flying insects does not reduce symptoms of itching completely which leads to the secondary infection of skin. Early indication of combined topical corticosteroids could prevent secondary skin infection.

Conclusions. The use of combined topical corticosteroids (betamethasone + gentamycin + clotrimazolum) as a cream or ointment in popular urticaria after stinging of flying insects reduces the probability of infectious diseases and facilitates earlier regression.

Key words: popular urticaria, insects’ stings, secondary bacterial infection, combined external therapy.
