To present the literature data referring to the features of clinical and radiological manifestations of malignant fibrous histiocytoma and a clinical case of this pathology.
Material and methods. The authors present the difficulties of the diagnosis of malignant fibrous histiocytoma and underline the importance of tandem of a radiologist and a pathologist for successful diagnosis. The observation of a 62 y.o. patient with malignant fibrous histiocytoma of the femur is presented, the radiologic features of and approaches to differential screening are described.
The conclusion. The article is of interest for radiologists, as it presents the foreign literature data on the features of clinical and radiological manifestations of a rare primary malignant trmor of bones – malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFHC).
Key words: malignant fibrous histiocytoma, radiology diagnosis, differential diagnosis.
