The article presents literature data and own observation of one of the rarest forms of myelopathy ― post-radiation myelopathy. The possible variants of pathogenesis, stages of development, features of clinical picture and diagnosis of radiation damage to the spinal cord are discussed. A differential-diagnostic algorithm is proposed, which allows to make the final clinical diagnosis by excluding the more common myelitis.
Key words: postradiation myelopathy, myelitis, demyelination, Devic’s disease.
