The article presents the literature review on urological complications after operations on pelvic organs. The study of the Russian and foreign researches on the given subject matter showed that these complications are connected with expansion of indications for operative treatment of pelvic neoplasms and with wider introduction of laparoscopic and endourology interventions. The main cause of all complications consists in close anatomic-topographical relationships, common sources of blood supply and innervations. The topical issue is development of effective methods for the prevention of intra- and postoperative complications of operations on pelvic organs.
Key words: iatrogenic complications, bladder cancer, cervical cancer, rectal cancer, prostate cancer.
