Innovative technologies for the improvement of functional results of excimer laser correction of astigmatism

The analysis of functional results of 4 FemtoLasik surgeries in patients with myopic astigmatism using Verion system was carried out. To control cyclotorsion we used the method of combining the preparatory marking with horizontal axis of optical target of Microscan-CFP excimer laser. 4 eyes (2 patients) were examined in the preoperative stage using Verion diagnostic module. Preliminary data were stored and based in the Verion operating M-module. The formation of corneal flap was carried out by Ziemer FEMTO LDV Z2 femtosecond laser (Switzerland). Correction of myopic astigmatism was carried out by «Microscan-CFP» excimer laser with pulse repetition rate of 300 Hz, spot diameter of 0.8, and eye pupil tracking system. Using Verion system capabilities at the preliminary stage, we managed to achieve high functional results in patients with myopic astigmatism, to determine the position of the meridians with high precision, to conduct preliminary marking and to efficiently carry out compensation of cyclotorsion during FemtoLasik surgery using «Microscan-CFP» excimer laser.
