    The purpose of the study is to evaluate the attitude of doctors and other health workers, as well as non-medical specialists, to specific influenza prophylaxis.

    Material and methods. In August–September 2019, a survey of employees of several medical institutions in Kazan was conducted, 250 questionnaires were analyzed. The age of the respondents ranged from 19 to 75 y. o., the median age was 43,5 (interquartile span 31–53) y. o. Qualitative data are presented in the form of a relative indicator (share, %) and 95% confidence interval. The statistical significance of the differences was assessed using the criterion χ2.

    Results. Most of the healthcare personnel 59,2% (95% CI 53,1–65,3, 148/250) consider annual vaccination to be the most effective flu prevention measure. In general, the attitude of respondents to influenza immunoprophylaxis is positive 60,4% (95% CI 54,3–66,5%, 151/250). Positive attitude to influenza immunoprophylaxis was registered in 60,4% (95% CI 54,3–66,5, 151/250) of respondents, including on the basis of personal experience and/or public opinion — in 87,5% (95% CI 77,3–97,7, 35/40) of doctors and 4,4% (95% CI 1,6–7, 9/210) of non-doctors, p < 0,001. 5% (95% CI 0,1–9,9, 2/40) of the surveyed doctors and 22,9% (95% CI 17,2–28,6, 48/210) of the remaining respondents had a negative attitude to influenza immunoprophylaxis formed under the influence of the media (television, radio), p = 0,01.

    Conclusion. The results of the study showed that, in general, the attitude to influenza vaccination is positive, and the proportion of doctors in this group significantly exceeds other respondents. Efforts should be directed to raising awareness of the effectiveness and safety of influenza vaccination among nurses and paramedical personnel, as well as non-medical staff. According to the results of our study, the leading role should be given to the media forming a positive attitude to the specific prevention of infectious diseases in general and influenza in particular.
