Influence of ozone therapy on parameters of platelet hemostasis in patients with chronic hepatitis C

The effect of ozonotherapy on the number and functional activity of the blood platelets was studied in 70 patients with CHC. Conditionally, patients were divided into 3 groups according to the number of Tr, characteristic of the hemostasis phases: group 1 ― hypercoagulation, group 2 ― transitional phase between hyper- and hypocoagulation and group 3 ― hypocoagulation. It was revealed that before ozonotherapy for all phases of the ICE syndrome, there was an increase in aggregation of Tr platelets with an increase in their maximum amplitude and a decrease in the number of Tr in the phases of multidirectional shifts and hypocoagulation. Intravenous ozone therapy irrespective of the number of Tr contributed to a decrease in the maximum aggregation amplitude and an increase in the number of Tr with confidence in hypocoagulation.
