The article analyzes the results of immunization of premature infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia in the spring season of 2017 with the drug palivizumab in the Republic of Tatarstan. Small premature infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia constitute a high-risk group of severe respiratory syncytial infection, which worsens the prognosis of the disease, and can lead to death. For immunoprophylaxis, monoclonal antibodies against the respiratory syncytial virus have been used in the recent years. The targeted funding of the program for the RSV infections prevention by рalivizumab in premature infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia has shown not only a reduction in respiratory infections in general, but the elimination of the need for hospitalization of children who received three-time injections of the drug.

Key words: premature, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, palivizumab.
