ICG technology in robot-assisted surgery of colorectal endometriosis

The purpose — to study the practice of using ICG technology in robot-assisted surgical interventions for colorectal endometriosis performed in the Department of Operative Gynecology with Oncogynecology and Day Hospital of Moscow Research Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology named after Acad. V.I. Krasnopolsky.
Material and methods. An analysis of surgical treatment was performed in 30 patients who underwent robot-assisted rectal resection using NOSE technology with the use of ICG technology.
Results. The use of ICG technology by intravenous administration allowed visualization of the endometrioid infiltrate zone of the rectum. Additional intraoperative fluorescent illumination of the endometrioid lesion zone allows reliable determination of the formation boundaries, and also allows selection of the necessary volume of surgical treatment. In our study, no cases of pelvic abscess, formation of rectovaginal fistula were detected, and no protective stoma was required.
Conclusion. Robot-assisted surgery has undeniable advantages in the surgical treatment of severe infiltrating endometriosis. ICG is a useful tool for improving surgical treatment results in combination with modern robotic technologies.
