The article gives information about histiocytosis X — a disease consolidating three different clinical types of this systemic disease: Hand — Schüller — Christian disease, Letterer — Siwa disease and Taratynov disease (eosinophilic granuloma of bones). The questions of etiology and pathogenesis, clinic, classification, histological diagnosis of the disease are discussed, as well as methods of treatment.
