The article presents the retrospective analysis of the case records of 110 patients after tonsillectomy performed at the Clinic for Otorhinolaryngology of Saint Petersburg First State Medical University named after Academician I.P. Pavlov in 2015, and the cases of bleeding in the early post-operative period. The temperature response in the postoperative period and the menstrual cycle phase are determined to be risk factors for the secondary hemorrhage.
Key words: tonsillectomy, bleeding.
