Greater trochanter pain syndrome

Greater trochanteric pain syndrome is a common problem, manifested by chronic lateral hip pain exacerbated by movement and direct palpation. The primary underlying cause of lateral hip pain is tendinopathy of gluteal muscles at the place of their insertion to greater trochanter of a hip.
