    A clinical case of chronic suppurative otitis media, accompanied by the formation of giant cholesteatoma is described. In the article is drawn attention to the importance of a diagnostic search and possibilities of modern examination techniques in the course of differential diagnosis of middle ear diseases. The data of preoperative examination are represented, surgical measures are described and surgical wound images are presented. A case of postoperative complication, characteristics of the neurological status of the patient, compilation management are described.

    Key words: chronic suppurative otitis media, cholesteatoma, facial nerve palsy, cerebrovascular disturbance.
