This article presents the results of anti-IgE-therapy in children with severe persistent uncontrolled atopic bronchial asthma. The clinical course of the disease during 3 years of follow-up was analyzed. The effectiveness of IgE-therapy was evaluated by the frequency of hospitalizations, asthma control, and changes in baseline therapy. Treatment with Omalizumab resulted in decreased frequency of acute states, normalized external respiration function, reduced severity of co-morbid pathology in the form of allergic rhinitis and atopic dermatitis.

Key words: children, bronchial asthma, treatment, genetic engineering therapy, omalizumab.
