  • Frequency of typical symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease in older children and adolescents in the Republic of Belarus, living in different urban conditions

    The article gives the results of epidemiologic investigation for studying of frequency of typical symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease in children and adolescents 12-18 years old in the Republic of Belarus. After the questionnaire of 2076 respondents was found the high (19,4%) frequency of esophageal complaints (heartburn, regurgitation, acid and bitter eructation, swallowing disturbances). Among the typical symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease there were acid eructation (8,2%), heartburn (7,4%), regurgitation (7,3%) and combined symptoms (7,1%). Frequency and structure of esophageal complaints had small differences in different towns on size.
