The article presents the treatment results of 141 boys with impalpable testis and modern views on the surgical correction methods. The new treatment algorithm of the patients with this pathology is described. The completely new surgical procedures for the impalpable testis are shown: single port laparoscopic orchopexy (one- and two-stage) and single port laparoscopic orchiectomy. A comparative analysis of different methods of surgical treatment of the impalpable testis was performed: open (99), laparoscopic SILS (19) and single port (23) approaches. For the first time, the possibilities of a single port laparoscopic surgery for a cryptorchidism have been demonstrated. The obtained positive results (the length of hospitalization, operation duration and its effect on the volume and blood supply of the testis) show good prospects for using single port laparoscopy.
Key words: cryptorchidism, children, laparoscopy, orchopexy, orchiectomy.
