Objective ― to compare the features of keratometric system Verion, autorefractometer «Tomey 5000», optical biometer «IOL-Master» with keratometry function, keratotopograph «Tomey TMS-4» for the estimation of focusing power of the cornea when calculating intraocular lens for eyes after keratotomy.
Material and methods. 21 patients (42 eyes) after radial keratotomy underwent keratometry; keratometric indices were compared taking into consideration 2 main meridians.
Results. The maximum keratometry values were obtained using «Tomey 5000», the minimal ones ― using «Tomey TMS-4». «IOL-Master» and «Verion» showed intermediate results with a slight excess when using «IOL-Master». The obtained differences are statistically significant: p<0.05. Conclusion. Calculation of the optical power of the IOL in the eyes after radial keratotomy is effectually performed according to the formula of the 4th generation Holladay II «Verion» system using the keratometric parameters of the keratotopograph «Tomey TMS-4».
Key words: radial keratotomy, keratometry, intraocular lens.
