The article presents the published data on the epidemiology and characteristics of drug and medical care in multiple sclerosis. The high prices for drugs for the treatment of multiple sclerosis, as well as the features of drug therapy, consisting in lifelong reception of various drugs, including drugs that alter the course of multiple sclerosis and supportive symptomatic treatment, require optimization of drug care processes. There is a growth of demand in the symptomatic treatment, where the main principles are the individual approach, the combined use of drugs with the drug-free methods of rehabilitation.
