The article presents the results of the analysis of reproductive outcomes indicators — childbirths and abortions — across the Republic of Tatarstan from 2001 till 2012 which were expressed in 1,5 times increase of the number of childbirths and 2,3 times decrease of the number of abortions. For 1000 women of fertilny age, the number of childbirths grew from 34,8 to 56,0, and the number of abortions fell from 58,5 to 26,7. The number of newborns increased by 4,1% in 2005 in comparison with 2001, and by 48,2%, in 2012 in comparison with 2005. Among the newborns who were born live, there is a tendency of increasing the number of born full-term and decreasihng the number of prematurely born.
