The work is devoted to a new method of ametropia correction — extraction of lenticule through a small incision with femtosecond laser. The ophthalmological examination was made of 90 patients (180 eyes) with diagnosis «myopia of different degree». The results of examination revealed that this method allows to achieve high visual acuity, increase space sensitivity at mean and high frequencies, obtain distinct visual area, without changing the corneal bio-mechanic properties. «Smile» operation proved to be the highly effective, predictable and safe method of myopia correction.
Key words: myopia, femtosecond laser, Smile, cornea.
