 The article presents the results of proximal dacryostenoses treatment using lacrimal expanders. The results of surgical treatment of 9 patients with unilateral proximal dacryostenosis are analyzed. The research objective was to assess the safety and clinical efficacy of lacrimal expander after the activation of lacrimal points and canalicula in various ways. In the overwhelming majority of cases, a significant improvement in the subjective condition and the patients’ quality of life was obtained; the effectiveness of using the expander was confirmed by various lacrimal tests. The results of using the lacrimal expander are preliminary; the product requires further refinement and additional clinical investigation to confirm its long-term success.
