Experience of femtosecond-laser assisted Nd:YAG laser cataract extraction

The article is devoted to the method of laser cataract extraction with Nd:YAG laser λ=1.44 mcm combined with femtolaser assisted cataract surgery. 75 eyes of 72 patients were subjected to cataract extraction. The mean endothelial cell density decrease amount to about 6.46%. 82.7% of patients had CDVA 20/25 or better. The proposed femtosecond laser-assisted capsulotomy and lens fragmentation in combination with Nd:YAG laser λ=1,44 µm cataract extraction is a safe and effective technology.
