Based on a clinical case, to estimate the efficiency of uterine arteries embolization for the treatment of arteriovenous malformation of the uterus.
Material and methods. The article presents literature data and a clinical case of a patient with arteriovenous uterine malformation willing to preserve the reproductive organ. Clinical-laboratory examinations were carried out before and after uterine arteries embolization.
Results. During the 4 months of observation, normal menstrual cycle without pain syndrome was restored; the patient noted improvement of the quality of living.
The conclusion. X-ray endovascular intervention allows obtaining the full-fledged picture of character and degree of the pathology. At the same time, the method of ray endovascular embolization of arterio-venous malformation allows an adequate and rapid elimination of the pathology, while the patient recovery occurs in a short period of time.
Key words: arteriovenous uterine malformation, uterine artery embolization.
