At the modern stage of medicine development, the most effective treatment of the knee arthrosis is total endoprosthesis. It allows replacing the damaged joint for an artificial one and restoring its original functions without significant risks and complications. However, the remaining pain syndrome has a significant negative influence on the patient’s life quality. Eliminating this problem improves the mobility function, reduces the time for rehabilitation and becomes the priority task in post-operative period. If endoprosthesis is inevitable, it can be achieved through additional anesthetic methods. The foreign and Russian experience was studied, the prospects of introducing acupuncture were defined. The examples of recipes are given.
Key words: endoprosthesis, acupuncture, pain relief.
