Efficacy of treatment by perсhlozon of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis

Within recent years in Russian Federation stabilization of the epidemic process of tuberculosis is observing. However, this situation is not sustainable, due to the increasing prevalence of multidrug resistance (MDR) Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MBT). During the period from 2002 to 2012 in Russian Federation proportion of patients with MDR MBT among all newly diagnosed patients with respiratory tuberculosis with bacterial excretion was doubled. Currently the effectiveness of therapy in patients with MDR worldwide and in Russian Federation does not exceed 48.7%. Treatment of multidrug-resistant (MDR) is a difficult task. Since 2013 in Russian Federation upon registration of perсhlozon and its application in routine clinical practice for treatment of multidrug-resistant pathogen opportunities for its further efficacy and safety appeared. Use of the drug perсhlozon in complex therapy of pulmonary tuberculosis caused by multidrug-resistant pathogen significantly increased the effectiveness of 6 months therapy evaluated by basic criteria — cassation of bacterial excretion and positive radiological dynamics.
