The article presents the results of microinvasive chromovitrectomy technology “double peeling” in 30 patients (30 eyes) with IEM. In the process of chromovitrectomy combined dyes were applied: domestic “Staining Solution for ophthalmic surgery” (OPTIMED) and foreign “Brilliant Peel Dual Dye” (GEUDER) for differential staining of vitreo-macular interface structures — IEM and ILM. As a result of chromovitrectomy using domestic and foreign combined dyes removal of rendered IEM and ILM was achieved in all patients. The use of dyes allowed precise control of the course of vitreoretinal interventions at all stages of peeling of IEM and ILM, and the use of tools with caliber of 25-27 gauge provided small injury intervention. Anatomic and functional results of treatment are presented: maximally correct visual acuity increased to 0,61 ± 0,11 in comparison with the original 00,31 ± 0.11 (p < 0.05); thickness of the retina in the foveolar region reached 311 ± 41 µm from the original 445 ± 58 µm (p < 0.05); and decreased volume of the retina in the macular region to 8.87 ± 1,09 mm3 in comparison with the baseline of 11.79 ± 1,14 mm3 (p < 0.05).
Key words: combined endovitrial dyes, epimacular fibrosis, chromovitrectomy.
