Objective ― to evaluate the effectiveness of Epigallocatechin-3-gallate for the treatment of chronic endometritis in women with reproductive dysfunction.

Material and methods. 38 women were examined, 30 of them with infertility, 8 ― with miscarriage. The tests used were morphological and immunohistochemical study of endometrium with determination of CD 56, CD 16, HLA-DR II, estrogen and progesterone receptors, level of promoter methylation of HOXA 10 and HOXA 11 GENES by bisulfite DNA sequencing.

Results. 15 women received Epigallocatechin-3-gallate ― green tea catechin as a part of complex therapy. Tests showed demethylation of HOXA 10 and HOXA 11 genes, restoration of receptivity, immune markers of the endometrium in all patients and reproductive function in 10 out of 15 within 6 months after treatment, in contrast to those receiving traditional therapy.

Conclusion. Epigenetic therapy with Epigallocatechin-3 gallate is an effective method of restoring reproductive function in women with chronic endometritis.

Key words: chronic endometritis, HOXA 10 genes, HOXA 11 hypermethylation, epigallocatechin-3-gallate.
