The article presents the results of observation of patients with chronic tonsillitis and IgA-nephropathy who underwent bilateral tonsillectomy under general anesthesia. The observation group consisted of 18 patients, 20 patients were included in the comparison group. All patients before and after the operation were carefully examined for complaints, history, pharyngoscopic picture, clinical blood test, general urine test, intraoperative features, as well as postoperative period. During the study, it was revealed that bilateral tonsillectomy, which was performed in patients with IgA-nephropathy to sanitize the focus of chronic infection, leads to an improvement in the course of the underlying disease.
