The article presents a review of literature reflecting the current state of the problem of echocardiographic diagnosis of cardiac space-occupying lesions. The types of space-occupying lesions are systematized, their differential diagnostic features are described, their morphological and hemodynamic characteristics are given, feasibility of diagnosis of cardiac space-occupying lesions using transesophageal and three-dimensional echocardiography is shown. The article is illustrated with authentic echocardiographic images.
