The article presents the results of the esophagus function study by means of dynamic scintigraphy in patients with definite diagnosis of systemic scleroderma (SS) and anamnesis duration from less than 1 year to 7 years. The control group included 10 healthy volunteers. The study consisted of rapid collection of images after the voluntary act of swallowing, their visual analysis and plotting the activity/time curves for each patient. During evaluation of the results, two main types of disorders of the esophagus transport function were revealed in patients with SS: hyperdynamic and hypodynamic. Hyperdynamic type of disorders was detected in 5 patients with early SS, hypodynamic type, on the contrary, in patients with a longer disease history. Thus, further study of the relation between clinical variants of the course of SS and changes in scintigraphy is required.
Key words: systemic scleroderma, esophageal scintigraphy.
