An examination of 88 children with chronic gastroduodenitis aged 5-17 y.o. with PCR in gastric juice and/or biopsy of the gastric mucosa and duodenal ulcers was carried out. In 40% of patients, infectious warts virus a high cancer risk of 16, 18 types (HPV), herpes simplex 1, 2 types (HSV), and cytomegalovirus (CMV) were revealed, 14% of them in isolation and 26% in association with Helicobacter pylori. Patients with viral persistence received comprehensive treatment, including antiviral, immunomodulatory, and antibacterial drugs. After 1.5 months after therapy in 16 (73%) children viruses were no longer determined. In these patients, the abdominal pain syndrome disappeared, congestion of the mucous coat of stomach and duodenum reduced, as well as the degree of swelling of the latter and the depth of inflammation of gastroduodenal mucosa.
