The article presents the results of applying the newly developed device for punctures of postoperative cavities in patients with ventral hernias. The device includes a needle and a 15 ml container with antiseptic solution, which form a single sealed complex, additionally equipped with a pushing pad, a support pad and a handle; the container is formed as a needle-scalpel with the longitudinal bore and an aperture at the base, which is rigidly fastened to the pushing pad. The device was used in the postoperative period in 3 (9.4%) patients of the main group with the purpose of emptying the cavity structures. In contrast to the traditional method of evacuation, it took 1-2 punctures to resolve the postoperative wound.
