Delivery of health care for women with complications of postpartum period in a large industrial city

This article reflects the modern view of the solution to the problem of organization of medical care for women with postpartum diseases and complications of postpartum period. The authors evaluated the effectiveness of the organization of medical care for women with postpartum illness in Ekaterinburg. On the basis of annual work reports of the obstetric observation department of Municipal Budgetary Institution Central Municipal Hospital № 7 was made an analysis of indicators for the periods from 2000 to 2005 and from 2006 to 2012. Tendency to decrease in postpartum infectious inflammatory diseases was traced, including reducing the incidence of severe pathology, improvement of planning and economic indicators for major nosological forms in connection with the introduction of new methods of diagnosis and treatment, rational organization of obstetric and gynecological care for women.
