Deciduosis of the appendix

The article presents a clinical case of a rare disease – ectopic decidua of the appendix which is characterized by the appearance of decidual cells in pregnancies outside the endometrium. In this case, the diagnosis was made after the immunohistochemistry of the resected appendix biopsy.
