    Extrauterine pregnancy is a common emergency pathology of the female reproductive system, the treatment of which in majority of cases is provided with a surgical approach. In 1982 was for the first time published report of the use of methotrexate to treat extrauterine pregnancy. The practical experience in the treatment of extrauterine pregnancy with methotrexate allowed talking of its high efficiency and security subject to the following indications and application conditions. However, in Russia, the proportion of methotrexate in the treatment of extrauterine pregnancy is 5-8%, while overseas it is 25-33%. The article describes the use of methotrexate to treat extrauterine pregnancy, that have found wide application abroad and is given the analysis of the results of its application.
