Today there is scientific evidence about the specificity of mental disorders in patients with facial dermatoses. The aim of our study was to evaluate the constitutive factors of structure and development of mental disorders in patients with most common chronic facial dermatoses. The results of the survey of 70 dermatological outpatients showed that mental distress risks were highest for elder individuals with the dominance of anxious and hypochondriac personality traits. The constitutive factors in structure of mental disorders were clinically important anxiety and subdepression. The acquired data could be used in clinical practice for the development of differentiated approach in evaluation of risks of comorbid psychiatric pathology in patients with facial dermatoses.
Key words: psychodermatology, facial dermatoses, risk factors, anxiety, depression.
