The article combines the results of researches on the use of the component diagnostics of allergic diseases in children. Characteristics of major and minor components of allergens (food, pollen, household, epidermal) is presented. Problems of cross-reactivity, risk assessment of systemic and local reactions, optimization of diagnosing food sensitization and predicting the efficacy of allergen immunotherapy are discussed. The high practical and scientific significance of component technology in the diagnostics of Ig E diseases in children is demonstrated.
Key words: allergic diseases, components of allergens, children, diagnostics.
