The article presents the results of the study showing that the inflammation in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses affects the functional state of the mucous membrane, inhibiting the respiratory and transport function of the nose, accompanied by a disturbance of homeostasis in the form of slight acidosis, which can be better corrected by the treatment, including the impact on vegetotropic effect on the body. Thus, taking into account the vagotonic functioning of vegetative nervous system in patients with rhinosinusitis, it is necessary to affect the pathogenesis of the disease using simpatotropic therapy.
Key words: rhinosinusitis, the state of the vegetative nervous system, simpatotropic therapy, Dimephosphon.
