The article presents the results of examination and treatment of 52 patients with medial laryngeal stenosis. The aim of the study was to compare the efficiency of the larynx lumen recovery when applying various surgical methods. The incidence of restenosis in the postoperative period was estimated, as well as the duration of tracheostomy tube carrying. The method is proposed of the stable larynx lumen expanding by fixing the mobilized half of the larynx to the hyoid bone. The external respiratory function parameters are shown to recover to normal values. The terms of tracheostomy tube carrying are reduced. There was no recurrent stenosis during the observation period (5 years).
