Clonorchiasis is a natural focal parasitic disease caused by Clonorchissinensis helminth, foci of which in Russia are found along the banks of the Amur River. This report provides a case of this biohelminthiasis in a twenty-eight year old woman who was urgently operated on for an acute abdomen. During the operation, clonorchiasis was found; eight years after that she got pregnant. The pregnancy was also complicated by the development of an acute abdomen, and during a surgical intervention, clonorchiasis and a significant inflammatory process were again found in the bile ducts, confirmed by laboratory examination. The pregnancy ended in premature birth of a girl weighing 2230 g., which proceeded without features and did not differ from the natural course.
Key words: clonorchiasis, pregnancy.
