Chronic spontaneous urticaria is the most common form of chronic urticaria for which no specific cause can be identified. The disease course is prolonged and often characterized by a lack of response to therapy, which affects the patient’s quality of life.

The article presents an analysis of a clinical case of chronic spontaneous urticaria in a 12-year-old boy, including an evaluation of the biologic therapy effectiveness. The objective is to raise awareness among specialists, particularly primary care physicians, regarding the difficulties of diagnosis and the potential for treating chronic spontaneous urticaria in children.

Key words: chronic spontaneous urticarial, children, biologic therapy, omalizumab
