The article presents current data about the causes of pancreatic diseases in children, the mechanisms of its damage. Clinical features of its damage are explained. Is given a detailed description of manifestations of abdominal pain syndrome and dyspeptic phenomena. For a full verification of the diagnosis pancreatitis, differential diagnostics of functional and organic pancreatopathy it is necessary to conduct laboratory and instrumental investigations to test the condition of exocrine and endocrine functions of the pancreas, and to visualize it. Only a comprehensive study allows to estimate the morpho-functional state of the gland. Taking into account the clinical picture of the disease and the data of laboratory and instrumental diagnostics it is possible to determine the nature of the damage of the pancreas, which is necessary for the selection of optimal way of treatment and follow-up care of children.
