The article presents measurements of thickness of the choroid in choroidal neovascularization (CNV) performed with spectral optical coherence tomography with angiography mode. Three groups of patients were examined: those with complicated myopia, with «wet» age-related macular degeneration (wAMD) with axial myopia, and with isolated AMD. Subfoveal thickness of the choroid was significant differences in the eye with CNV and in pair intact eye in all study groups. Statistically significant thinning was revealed of the choroidal subfoveal and thinning of the layer of medium choroidal vessels in patients with wAMD with axial myopia in comparison with patients of the third group. The area of CNV and the density of the vasculature in CNV in the wAMD with axial myopia group were significantly lower than in the wAMD group.

Key words: choroid, choroid thickness, complicated myopia, «wet» age-related macular degeneration, choroid neovascularization.
