Treatment of ischemic heart disease is an urgent problem until now. Despite advances in modern medicine, there is a fairly large group of patients for whom the use of just the drugs and / or surgical techniques fails to improve the quality of life. In this article there is an overview of clinical trials, which served as a prerequisite for further clinical and experimental study of cellular technology in treatment of ischemic heart disease.
Key words: ischemic heart disease, myocardial infarction, coronary artery bypass surgery, autologous bone marrow mononuclear cells.
