The study presents the analysis materials of 40 patients with subtrochanteric fractures, who underwent cephalomedullary osteosynthesis. Two patients with specific complications of cephalomedullary osteosynthesis were identified. As a measure of prevention of these complications, indications for performing an open repositioning of subtrochanteric fractures during the performance of cephalomedullary osteosynthesis were determined.

Key words: subtrochanteric fracture, repositioning of subtrochanteric fracture, cephalomedullary osteosynthesis, specific complications of intramedullary osteosynthesis.
