Bone mineral density in children in different age periods

The article presents the results of a study of bone mineral density in children aged 0 to 18 years, conducted by dual-energy X—ray absorptiometry (DXA), X-ray densitometry using a computer analysis program of film radiographs (XRay Analysis) and quantitative ultrasound. Reduced bone mineral density in children was found in all age groups, the largest deviations were set at tender age and puberty.
